Contains two letters written in 1946 and 1947 by Mihaly Klein, the only member of the Klein family of Kaszony, Hungary (Kosyno, in present-day Ukraine), who survived the deportation in 1944. The addressee of the letters was Mihaly's cousin, Ilon Klein, sister of Herman Klein.

Letter, photocopied, addressed to Louis Schubert of Cleveland, OH, from Chaim Schubert of Lwow (postmarked in Komarno, USSR), from early June 1941 (when Soviets still occupied Eastern Poland and Ruthenia, as that would be where Komarno would be). Letter in Yiddish, but not in Hebrew script.

Consists of one letter, four pages, written by Lt. Margaret House, a member of the 91st Evacuation Hospital, on April 18, 1945, after witnessing the atrocities at Gardelegen. She compares the idyllic German countryside with the horrors of the things she had witnessed.

The Albert Cohen letter was written by Albert Cohen, while he was serving in the United States Army in Europe during World War II. The letter and envelope are addressed to Cohen’s mother, Estelle Cohen, in Milwaukee, April 26, 1945. The letter describes Cohen’s experiences at the Buchenwald concentration camp shorty after it was liberated.

The letter was written by Gerber Ezriel from a DP camp in Germany to Trygve Lie, Secretary General of the United Nations, asking for assistance with his emigration to Palestine.

Consists of a typed copy of a letter written by Hans Kuehne to his brother, Paul Kendal, in 1948, while Hans was interned as an illegal Jewish immigrant in Cyprus. In the letter, Mr. Kuehne describes his experiences on the boat on his way to Palestine, being turned back within sight of land, and life in a British camp in Cyprus. The Wolf and Gidanskis letters consist of letters written in Yiddish between December 1938 and April 1941 in Lithuanian. One letter was written by Yitzhak Zev Wolf and eleven letters by Josef Gidanskis to his niece, Esther Golde. In the letters, Mr. Gidanskis discusses pre-war Jewish life in Lithuania and alludes to the news he is hearing about the Holocaust.
